You needn't feel sorry for me, Buzen. While it was decided for me, I have no regrets about serving the people in their daily life and listening to their problems. Fighting does only so much if those I aim to protect are still unhappy—and truthfully, it is only the army who finds glory in combat, rather than the common citizen.
In any case, I now know His Majesty's reasons for appointing me to the position, so I have no reason to take it as an insult.
